Although smart meters are fitted now in most homes its still useful to have a power monitor. A power monitor can detect large kettle spikes that show the person is busy boiling the kettle. As a safety feature it can also be used to detect when for example the cooker oven has been left on ! |

Unfortunately no suitable off the shelf power sensor could be found, so the only solution was to develop our own. Although the module was only intended
to give a rough guide of high power use recent tests have shown it to be
surprisingly accurate.
